Hello! This is my story. I'm from Spain and I was studying Marketing and advertising and one day we're speaking about the news companies that make the interview for video calls and one of them was Job Trust. After this meeting I thought of sending my CV just for try something new. The page was easy to complete my data, normal staf like full name, how long I would like to be there, which place it was my preference...
My first job in Greece was in Halkidiki. I started like a runner, just putting clean dishes in the buffet, checking if the area was clean or if the guest needed something. But later I started as an assistant waiter, so I took more responsibilities like taking drink orders, taking plates when they finished, and preparing all the tables before and after each meal. This year was the best summer that I have. I met a lot of people from different countries although most of them were from Spain. Every day we went to the beach on our break, thanks to the schedule we had time for rest or enjoy. In total I did 3 seasons, two of them in Halkidiki and the last one in Crete. I didn't expect anything but they gave me all the information that I needed.
The second time I got problems for the covid time but they helped me. With this experience I felt more sure about myself, because it was the first time that I traveled alone and outside of my country and other languages. Now I keep teaching and I got a new job in the Netherlands. I'm in love with Greece, the culture, the food, the people... They have a special soul and they see the life/summer season differently and this becomes unique. I recommend it even if only once. Is an experience that you will never forget.
